Integrating Industry CO2 Calculations into Booking Flows

Context

Time Matters, part of the Lufthansa Cargo group, is a Germany-based time-critical logistics and express delivery enterprise. It worked with SQUAKE on Calculations, Compensation, and Certificates.

Goal

• Integrate transparent, industry-standard CO2 calculation methodologies directly into booking flows, rather than as a separate reporting step after the fact
• Give customers visibility into the carbon footprint of every shipment at the moment they book it
• Embed Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and high-quality carbon projects into default products, instead of offering them as an opt-in add-on
• Compensate emitted carbon automatically and on a recurring basis, rather than only on request

• Monthly bulk compensation of all emitted carbon emissions, with no manual intervention required per shipment
